What You Must Know
ALL Other Noni Products: Deceptions, Fakes, & Frauds
Morinda is dedicated to the integrity of TAHITIAN NONI juice. Since our introduction in 1996, there have been dozens of knock-offs and imitators. Most have disappeared from the market, while others are still popping up. Some competitors have used similar packaging to confuse consumers. Some claim to be the best, purest, or the original noni. Others have directly attacked Morinda with false claims, erroneous information, and ridiculous statements.
Morinda
tests ALL noni products on the market, and provides scientific data on these
products to consumers. A footprint (or "DNA") of Tahitian Noni
juice, in cooperation the International Noni Certification Council (INCC), was
created to set a standard in the industry. The INCC seal is placed on noni
products that meet the standard. Not one of the competitor's noni
products come close to obtaining the seal. They range from less than 5% to
only 75% of the standard found in Tahitian Noni juice! For example, a
frog's DNA is 80% of that found in humans. Close, but not close enough!
Don't take our word for it...see for yourself by clicking
here or view our comparisons of 24 competing brands below. The
comparisons are shocking. If you have tried another noni product, and did
not get results, now you know why! Morinda's Tahitian Noni juice is
preferred by 95% of noni juice drinkers.

Did you know that of ALL noni products on the market, 78% are made with rotten or spoiled fruit, and 20% have NO noni in them at all? That's right, you could be paying for fruit punch!
Now you know why TAHITIAN NONI juice is preferred by 95% of Noni juice drinkers. Dr. Ralph Heinicke, who discovered the amazing properties of noni, endorses Morinda's TAHITIAN NONI only.
Are there more differences between TAHITIAN NONI juice and other noni juice products? Answer: There are significant differences. It is like comparing pure orange juice to orange soda...there is no comparison! Here is more information:
A major factor in herbal potency is natural variation. For example, there are 72 strains of kava with a range of active ingredient from 3% to 20%. The hypericin content of St. John's Wort varies due to ambient temperature, altitude, flowering status, age of the plant, and which part of the plant is extracted. These same principles apply to the study of noni around the world. The term "standardization" is not legally defined in the U.S. or many other countries. This is why the INCC was formed. You are on your own if you buy other noni products. Morinda's contention (that they selected noni from French Polynesia because it's far superior to noni in other parts of the world) is no exaggeration. In fact, research has shown that some noni plants growing outside French Polynesia are not only inferior, but can actually be harmful to the body due to soil conditions and faulty processing (see more under "current research" below).
Competing noni products (which are here one day, gone the next) are made from concentrate or are reconstituted (which means that they are in more like a punch rather than 100% juice). Reconsituted noni products are made with some noni (usually a very small amount) and a lot of other ingredients. Yet, these manufacturers still claim that their product is "pure noni juice". What they mean (and don't want you to know) is that the small amount of noni juice that is used in their product is usually made from puree or pulp, but none of them mention in what exact proportion.
Most noni products are reconstituted with large amounts of water, sugar, and other fruit juices (diluted). Some noni juices contain chemical preservatives and corn syrup. Royal Farms Nonu Juice (packaged in a look alike plastic bottle) contains chemical additives that should make any of us shudder. Some noni juices are not pasteurized, which is a major health concern worldwide. Harmful bacteria found in unpasteurized juices has caused serious illness and even death, and many governments require special labeling on these products.
Some noni juices have written on their bottles "do not give to children, pregnant women consult a physician"! Other noni juices have no flavoring, making their product unbearable to consume. The smell is so bad, their juice is often mistaken as spoiled. We use special glass bottles, making the shelf up to 24 months. The competition uses vinegar, salad dressing, and plastic clorox bottles! Plastic bottles allow for the harmful exchange of gases. Tahitian Noni juice is safe for children, pregnant women, and people of all ages!
Here are more reasons why TAHITIAN NONI
juice is unparalleled:
I. PATENTED PROCESS
One of the aspects of our process that has been the least understood is the fact that we thermal treat our product (commonly referred to as pasteurization).
Morinda founders never considered a process that did not thermal treat the juice. Why?
1. Safety. Without this treatment, there is always a risk of bacterial growth that can be harmful to people.
2. No Preservatives. Thermal Processing prevents the need for chemical preservatives that appear in competitive products. Check the labels before you drink the juice.
3. Shelf Life. Thermal Processing extends the shelf life and quality of the product.
Well, you ask, aren't important enzymes and so forth hurt in this thermal process? Answer: Some enzymes indeed are de-natured in this process, but we patented a way to thermal treat our juice and maintain the integrity of the crucial, important components of the juice. We are the ONLY company with this patented process. All other noni juices, pasteurized or not, are simply substandard. This is proven by many who try other brands, and end up coming back to ours. In other words, you get what you pay for! You see, Morinda's thermal process preserves the safety and preserves the miracle. Hundreds of thousands of testimonials verify this.
This is real important: The FDA in the United States has mandated that un-pasteurized juice products must display a safety warning. As of November 5, 1999 all unpasteurized juices are required to have the following label:
"This product has not been pasteurized and, therefore, may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems." 21 CFR 101.17(g)(2)(ii).
You will never see this warning on a
TAHITIAN NONI juice product, because we took the care in the beginning to ensure
that our product is absolutely safe. Check labels, read the ingredient
panel, read the warnings.
II. CURRENT RESEARCH
Dr. Charles Garnier, a government research scientist in French Polynesia, specializes in researching Morinda citrifolia (noni). He received a Masters Degree from UCLA with his thesis on the components of noni. He also holds a Doctorate in agronomy science. His specialty is to analyze plants and break down all the materials that are contained in the plants, including all the minerals, vitamins, nurtriceuticals, and so forth.
He has proven that the materials contained in plants come directly from the soil in which they grow. The makeup of the terrain, the weather, geographic locale, and other factors, also affect what is contained in the plant because they affect soil conditions. The combination and levels of minerals, vitamins, and other trace materials in a plant will be found in a certain configuation if the plant grew in a specific spot. Thus, a plant that grows in one location on an island can be distinguished from a plant that grows in another location. And it can be proven, by meticulously analyzing the soil and other plants in the vicinity, that the plant grew in a very specific location.
Dr. Garnier has applied these same principles to the study of noni around the world. For many years he has carefully analyzed the makeup of noni plants from various tropical locations, including among others, all the islands of French Polynesia (Tahiti), Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa, Central and South America and various parts of Asia. Dr. Garnier is in the process of preparing to publish a report on his findings. This report will compare the differences in noni plants from various locations by setting forth the materials that they contain in minute detail. He also has conducted DNA analysis on the plants, which will further enhance his findings.
In fact, Dr. Garnier's research has shown that some noni plants growing outside French Polynesia can actually be harmful to the body. He found that:
(1) Noni plants growing on islands that are relatively active volcanically (such as many places in the Hawaiian Islands and the Philippines) absorb high levels of mercury and lead. Some of these levels that he measured were dangerously high, enough so to make a human ill. When a person ingests this noni containing high levels of heavy metals, the mercury and lead poison the body.
There have been numerous reports of people in the Philippines becoming ill when they drink homemade noni juice produced from local noni plants. About five years ago, the government closed down a noni capsule business (Japanese owned) in Hawaii because the product was making consumers ill. There are no active volcanoes in French Polynesia, and have not been for a long, long time. In fact, the French Polynesian islands are geologically millions of years older than the Hawaiian Islands. Morinda does not produce a noni capsule, and never will (research has shown they have little effect, and many people are unable to digest encapsulated products, while others can't even swallow them). Here's what you don't know about encapsulated imitation products:
This is a scientific fact that Morinda has understood from the very beginning. They knew that in order to get the most safe and effective product, they would need to produce a "blend." This blend combines the fruit from various islands in French Polynesia, which is already of superior quality, into an ideal mixture of naturally healthful materials. This then gives the consumer the best of all possible worlds. For example, if the noni grown on one location has the highest vitamin content, and the noni grown on another island has the most proxeronine, then by combining the two the body benefits optimally from both. And it's all natural. This is highly simplified, of course, but you get the idea. Morinda has a 100% natural blend that is effective, safe, and consistent. And they are the only company that can do it (see safety testing below).
To make an effective noni product such as this, a company must:
(1) Have a thorough understanding of the science of noni, including the ability to analyze in minute detail all the materials that are contained in the various noni plants.
(2) Have available a wide cross-section of noni plants, grown under optimal conditions, that they can harvest and scientifcally blend to provide the ultimate natural product to bless the body. Morinda doesn't change the noni in any way. They just bring the natural juice together in an ideal mixture.
Morinda has their own laboratories,
testing facilities, and full-time scientists (not researchers, but PhD
scientists) who specialize in noni science. They have had these from the
beginning and have understood what they are doing from the beginning. They
know more about noni, what it is, and how to produce the most effective product
than any other company in the world. Not one other company has the
capability (or resources) to test for the levels of the dozens of components
founds in noni. Noni is a very complex gift of nature.
III. PRODUCT INTEGRITY & PURITY
This information is provided to show steps taken to assure product integrity. Rest assured you can be very confident in the cleanliness and the quality of TAHITIAN NONI juice. Morinda is the only company that tests its noni juice to this extent.
